A great place to invest, live, work and visit.

Melbourne’s South East is a vibrant hub of economic, natural, cultural and recreational activity. It is home to a diverse population of over one million people. It’s perhaps the most livable part of one of the world’s most livable cities.

What makes it so? Living Links covers an area of strategic importance to Melbourne and Victoria. A thriving business and industrial sector makes it one of the strongest economic regions in Australia. Almost half the State’s manufacturing sector and more than a quarter of Victoria’s businesses are located within it.

Yet Melbourne’s renowned bayside beaches, the Dandenongs and their foothills, and many natural treasures like Braeside Park near Mordialloc, Lysterfield Lake near Narre Warren and the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens are right on the doorstep.

Infrastructure is developing rapidly to keep pace with the area’s growing population. Extensive rail and road networks, including Australia’s largest road construction project, EastLink, traverse its boundaries.

Living Links is an ambitious, large scale program to retain and protect the natural values in the face of continuing development, to keep this area at the forefront of large-scale urban ecosystem improvement.
